Sensitivity and Specificity of Abdominal Circumference as Single Marker in Predicting Macrosomia at Haji Adam Malik Hospital Medan 2017-2021

BACKGROUND: Macrosomia incidence rate seems continue to increase, especially in Indonesia with a fairly high rate, macrosomia is associated adverse complications; therefore, early detection recommended so that optimal management can be determined. At present, abdominal circumferences are considered as most predictive of fetal weight and expected used for screening. AIM: This research purpose was determine sensitivity specificity Abdominal Circumference (AC) single marker predicting at Haji Adam Malik Hospital Medan 2017–2021. METHODS: an analytical study diagnostic test secondary data from medical records on February 7, 2022–April 30, 2022. Research sample pregnant women or non-macrosomia fetuses who gave birth obstetrics department H. met inclusion criteria. Calculation AC values carried out diagnose macrosomia. An analysis area under the curve (AUC) will cut off value diagnosing RESULTS: Based ROC curve, AUC 0.923 which means by 92.3%. After calculation values, it found 34.56 had 83% 89% CONCLUSION: measurement effective method predict baby’s good level (83%) (89%).
